Children under 2 years of age receive free entry into the zoo and will be added on the day of visit.

Your tickets are valid for one visit within 30 days of purchase date. 

PLEASE NOTE:  If you are purchasing a minimum of 15 tickets and know for sure what day you will be visiting, please go back and choose group tickets which are discounted.  Group tickets are good only for the day chosen.  If you need that 30 day flexibility you will need to purchase the regular price general admission.  There are no refunds to give group rates at the gate if you purchased general admission rates online.

Zoo Policies

Hours - The Zoo opens at 9am.  Last entry into the Zoo is 1 hour before closing. Zoo hours are 9am - 5pm April - October and 9am - 4pm November - March. We suggest you plan at least 4 hours for your visit.

Payment - Full payment is required at time of purchase; please have your credit card information available. Your card will be charged when you click ''Accept'' on the confirmation page. The Zoo does not “hold” spots. The Zoo accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. Prices are subject to change, and it is recommended that you confirm rates at time of reservation. 

Military Ticket - Must present approved ID along with ticket for entry.  Limit 1 ticket per military ID.

Cancellations, Refunds & Rainchecks - The ticket purchased is for general admission to the North Carolina Zoo for a single day between the date of purchase and the 30 day expiration printed on the ticket.  There are no refunds, exchanges or rain checks due to animal visibility or weather conditions. Special circumstances, including extremes in weather, construction, births, feeding and veterinary procedures may require that certain animals be removed from public viewing to ensure their best possible care.  Purchasing tickets in advance does not guarantee parking on day of visit.  Parking is limited and may fill up especially on weekends and holidays so please plan accordingly.
