Schools

• ALL STUDENTS K-12 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SCHOOL STAFF OR CHAPERONE, AT ALL TIMES WHILE VISITING THE ZOO.

NC Schools (K-12) may come to the North Carolina Zoo for free beginning September 8, 2020 - June 4, 2021. Reservations are required to be made at least 15 days prior to the visit date. No weekends, holidays or dates the zoo deems closed to free school entry. Additional adults/seniors/ children not part of the school will be charged the regular admission rates as posted at the gate.

• This reservation is for teachers and the students in their class, not siblings, other children, clubs, after school programs, extracurricular activities or summer camps.

• NC Public & Private School For School staff making your reservation please know the NC DPI-LEA number or Zoo assigned ID number before beginning registration, and use your school assigned email address in billing. If you do not know your ID Number please call 336-879-7700 to receive it.
EC teachers please call the same number.

If you are a teacher who has changed schools but has retained the same email address you must call to register so we can unlink your email address from your old school for you to register using that email address with your new school.  Please do not attempt to change your information in your existing profile.

If your school has had a name change or address change please call to register so we can verify with the state and make the needed changes to your account.  Please do not attempt to change your school information in your existing profile.

•; NC Home Schools are required to make individual reservations, not as a group. Home Schools may begin calling to make reservations August 22, 2020, we will verify you are a state registered home school and complete your reservation.

•Out-Of-State Schools -  Schools are required to make individual reservations, not as a group. For a discounted rate registrations and payment are required at least 15 days in advance.   Any member of group paying separately will be charged regular posted admission rates.  Registration is good for the date on confirmation only, if group shows up without a confirmation for the current date, the entire group must pay regular rates at the gate ($15 for adults, $11 for Children).

DO NOT MAKE A SCHOOL LUNCH ORDER IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE A FIELD TRIP RESERVATION.

Lunches must be PAID FOR at least 15 days before your visit. School Lunches are available to all School groups for the date of your school field trip only. Lunches are picked up at either NA entrance Iron Hen Café; Africa entrance Billy D’s or center of the zoo Junction Café. Pickup times are every 15 minutes between 11am and 2:00 pm, Monday thru Friday and only on a traditional School Calendar. Contact our Ticket Orders office to order at 336-879-7700.

All meals come with listed beverage only. (NO REFUNDS)

• "Amazon Meal" – Hot Dog (Plain), Potato Chips, Animal Crackers, Drink Box @ $7 each

"Congo Meal" - PB & J, Potato Chips, Animal Crackers, Drink Box @ $7 each

• "Madagascar Meal" - Turkey Sandwich, Potato Chips, Animal Crackers, Drink box @ $7 each

* Upgrade Drink box to a Bottled Water for an additional $1 per meal

All prices subject to change without notice. No outside food may be brought into the zoo.

DISCOUNTED FUN TICKETS: Schools already registered for a field trip to the North Carolina Zoo; when you purchase fun tickets at least 15 days prior to your visit date you receive a $1 discount for students and teachers. Fun tickets are only available April 1 - October 31.
